CEO
Asela is the visionary founder of Virtual Assistance Services Lapu2Staffing, a dynamic consulting agency based in the Philippines. With over 10 years of experience in Human Resources, General Virtual Assistance, Sales and Marketing Virtual Assistant role, and Payroll, Asela has earned her Master’s degree in Organizational and Industrial Psychology from the University of San Jose Recoletos, Philippines.
Asela is highly passionate about cross-cultural workforce dynamics, and her extensive experience in both corporate and remote setups has honed her adaptability to diverse cultures. As a virtual assistant, she consistently delivered team projects with promptness and diligence, which earned her a reputation as an outstanding independent contractor. Her passion and impressive track record led her to establish her own consulting agency to assist individuals, particularly who are seeking to switch careers and work from the comfort of their homes.
As a seasoned Human Resource Manager for various consulting agencies, Asela has gained invaluable expertise in end-to-end HR processes, cross-culture workforce management, sales and marketing virtual assistant role, and payroll. As a trainer, she has honed her skills in handling different types of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, fostering strong relationships with clients and VAs. Bonnie Thompson
HR Training Manager – Compensation & Benefits
Bonnie has a rich background in the field of recruitment, where she has dedicated herself to conducting interviews and crafting final recommendations for over five years. During her career, she showcased her leadership abilities by founding a new department within an educational institution and effectively overseeing a team of 22 members.
She has been part of a Marketing Management Team of a multinational company where she handled brand marketing, public relations, and events, and became part of an expat team where she stood as the only Filipino and a woman in the department.
Her experience and expertise have now led her back to her roots in Eastern Visayas, where she has taken on the role of HR Head for one of the region’s largest BPO companies. In this role, she spearheads the HR operations across eight different sites, collectively managing a workforce of 300 employees at each location. She is passionate in providing a psychologically safe working environment for the workforce, as well as promoting Holistic Wellness through promoting Yoga and Meditation through weekly classes she led.
She has been part of CHED’s pioneer scholarship program on Community Engagement and Organizing uniting directors, and heads of the field in partnership with the University of Sto. Tomas.
Jefferson Miller
HR Training Manager – Labor Laws
Jefferson was an HR practitioner for 12 years now. He has a strong background in human resources management, with a focus on talent acquisition, legal, employee relations, and performance management. He had his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and 14 units in taking up Master of Science in Psychology from a reputable university, as well as several years of experience working in various HR roles.
Throughout his career, he has developed a deep understanding of HR best practices and legal requirements, and have worked closely with senior leaders to develop and implement HR policies and practices that align with organizational goals and objectives. He had experience working in both small and large organizations engaged in Academe, Aviation, BPO, Real Estate-Property Management, and Outsourcing Business, and has a proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies.
He also has vast experience in talent acquisition and that has allowed him to develop a strong network of recruiting resources, and has a proven track record of identifying and attracting top talent to organizations. He also has experience developing recruitment strategies, interviewing candidates, and negotiating job offers to get the best talents therein in the market.
In addition to talent acquisition, he also has extensive experience in employee relations, legal and performance management. He has developed and implemented policies and practices related to employee engagement, conflict resolution, and performance improvement. He has experience conducting investigations, managing disciplinary actions, and providing coaching and support to employees.
Overall, his background as an HR practitioner has equipped him with necessary skills, knowledge, and experience needed to successfully manage all aspects of human resources management. He is passionate about his work and is committed to helping organizations create a positive and productive workplace culture that supports the success of both employees and the organization as a whole.
James Clark
HR Training Manager – Training & Development/Engagement
Jeprald has extensive experience in the human resources field. He had almost 7 years of recruitment, training, and development experience. He also contributed to the streamlining of the end-to-end recruitment process, the creation of job descriptions, and working closely with various accounts to meet their hiring needs and address concerns. Way back, he started his career as a university guidance staff member, then became an HR recruitment and training staff member, a human resources administrator in a transportation company, and a training and development officer in a German manufacturing company. Jeprald also has several years of experience working as a HR recruiter and VA for US-based companies.
Aside from the recruiting field, he has also had experience in the end-to-end process of training and development, including addressing the gaps of an organization, facilitating external and internal trainings via virtual or face-to-face trainings, designing and expanding training and development programs based on the needs of the organization and an individual, building training programs from scratch (from the initial idea through planning, implementation, review, and outcomes analysis), evaluating training and development programs, and preparing reports for management in areas such as usage, engagement, and performance. He also manages the training budget and monitors monthly expenditure reports. He has also earned a certification in the Train the Trainers Program.
Joan Hudson

Joan is an organized and people-oriented Human Resources Training Manager with expertise in Employee Onboarding Process, Database Management and Conducting New Hire Orientations. She is a Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Psychology and has worked with one of the biggest BPO companies in the HR industry where she developed her excellent interpersonal skills and worked with a wide range of employees addressing complex job matters professionally.
Joan has exceptional verbal and written communication skills as an experienced Virtual Assistant for 6 years in the fields of Social Media Management and Marketing.
